The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati
Kim is a native Cincinnatian and graduate of the Cincinnati Country Day School (’87) and Vanderbilt University (’91). With 22 years in non-profit executive leadership roles, Kim assumed the role of Managing Director of the Children’s Theatre (TCT) in 2013, and then the combined role of Managing Director & CEO in 2015. Under Kim’s leadership, TCT’s staff and budget have doubled and, in just two seasons, MainStage attendance increased from 82,000 to over 100,000. In 2015, TCT completed renovation of their facility on Red Bank Road with eight, state-of-the-art studio spaces for their academy in addition to offices, a costume shop, MainStage rehearsal space, and a small theater. Kim now leads the $51M project to purchase and “reimagine” the Emery Theater as TCT’s new MainStage home.
